Singer,
songwriter and pianist, Jogo, is based
in NYC. His song “If I Let Myself
Go” was recorded by Dionne
Warwick and Chuck Jackson, on Wave/BMG
Records. “If I Let Myself Go”
was released as the first single from
the album titled “I’ll Never Get Over
You” which is Chuck Jackson’s latest
album, released in Oct. of 1999. The
album features Dionne Warwick
as the only guest artist. “If
I Let Myself Go,” was co-written with
Sheree Sano. The album features
a Spanish and two instrumental versions
as well. The video filmed
entirely in the New York City area was
shot mainly in Central Park. “If
I Let Myself Go” was originally recorded
by Evelyn “Champagne” King on RCA Records.
The Spanish version of “If I Let
Myself Go,” titled “Si Me Dejo Llevar,” co-written with
Julio Hernandez, won top honors
in the 1994 Billboard Song Contest,
in the Latin category.

Based
in New York City, Jogo has been a member
of ASCAP since 1984, as a composer,
author and most recently as a publisher
- Jogony Music Co. He has been
a recipient of the ASCAP Popular
Music Award for the past 18 consecutive
years and has been chosen to participate
in numerous ASCAP workshops and showcases.
Jogo was in one of twelve
songwriting teams chosen to participate
in ASCAP’s first ever 1982 East Coast
Pop Workshop, headed by Rupert Holmes.
In 2001, Jogo was granted membership
into NARAS, with full GRAMMY voting
privileges.
As an entertainer,
Jogo has toured throughout North

America
singing and playing piano, in hotels,
clubs, restaurants, cruise ships (NCL),
and on The Amtrak Montrealer.
"If I Let Myself Go” has
also been recorded by Michael Anderson
on Excalibur Records, Tennie Leonard
on Bel-Ten Records and Kevin Scott
Hall on Cascade Records. Six additional
compositions have won honorable
mentions in previous Billboard Song
Competitions.
In the mid 1980’s, he composed the musical
score for "Prime-Time",
with book and lyrics by David Skovron.
The original production
was conceived, choreographed, and
directed by Tim Millet. "Prime-Time" premiered
Off-Broadway at the
78th Street Theater Lab, in NYC.
Jogo
also conceived, directed, choreographed,
wrote the book and co-wrote the original
songs for his children’s musical titled
“On With The Show,” which had it’s debut
at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn,
NY. He also toured extensively
throughout the United States with Alice
Dysart’s Fantasy Players, performing
in musical fashion shows both as pianist
and model for Monsanto, Kimberly-Clark,
Hudson’s and many Rouse and Federated
Retail Centers. His original composition,
titled “Together We’re Magic, ” was
chosen by The Monsanto Corporation as
the theme song for “The Fantasy Players
Monsanto National Tour,”which made appearances
in 14 US cities.
In
2002, Jogo completed his fifth and final
year as the musical director for
The Theatre Learning Center, an after
school program in Bayside, Queens.
In 1998, Jogo was honored to become
a songwriting member of the “The Songs
Of Love Foundation,” which donates the
music and lyrics of its members to families
with terminally ill children. From
1989 – 1994, Jogo was the pianist and
keyboardist and also a lead vocalist
with The Marc Elliot Orchestra, based
in the NYC Metro area. He currently
performs with The Marc Elliot Orchestra
on a free-lance basis. Jogo is
also represented by Joel Krantz Entertainment.
From 1991 – 1994, while at Saint
Angela Hall Academy (K–8) in Brooklyn,
Jogo held the position of Chairman of
the Music and Drama Department.
Jogo
is an alumnus of The Berklee College
of Music in Boston, where he graduated
with Magna Cum Laude honors. Jogo
appears on Acne Records, an independent
record label based in Harrisburg, PA. Jogo
is a member of ASCAP, NARAS (The Grammy's),
MAC, and Broadjam.
